Elon Musk (born June 28, 1971, Pretoria, South Africa) is an entrepreneur and engineer. He co-founded Zip2 and X.com (which became part of PayPal), then went on to lead or co-found SpaceX (2002), Tesla (joined 2004; CEO), Neuralink, The Boring Company, xAI, and acquired Twitter (rebranded X) in 2022. Public work focuses on electric vehicles, reusable rockets, satellite internet (Starlink), brain–computer interfaces, and AI.
